Why Vintage Clothing and the Importance of Sustainable Fashion

Sustainable fashion refers to clothing that is “designed, manufactured, distributed, and used in ways that are environmentally friendly.” One of my favorite pastime hobbies is thrift shopping. And when thrifting, my goal is to always find the best quality vintage pieces. Did you know that thrifting is good for the environment? As we all know, and also according to Thrift World, clothing is worn and tossed faster than expected. Studies show that 81 pounds of clothing are tossed out every year by the average American. Add all that up and it can be equivalent to 26 billion pounds of textiles that end up in landfills all over the United States. “Thrifting helps reduce textile waste because the clothing gets recycled by allowing someone else to buy it.”

If you are looking to spice up your wardrobe with statement pieces, look no further. In Fiore’s Vintage Collection, you will find many statement pieces that would match anything in your closet. I’m sure of it! Our vintage collection consists of blazers, sequin skirts, vintage sunglasses and purses.

Here is why you shop the Fiore Vintage Collection:

  1. You are saving the planet.
  2. You are saving money.
  3. Vintage clothing allows you to express your creativity by creating a wardrobe that is truly your own.
  4. Vintage clothing is quality clothing.
  5. Fiore’s vintage statement pieces are a wardrobe must!

One of my goals at The Fiore Brand is to show the Fiore community that you can mix modern fashion with quality vintage pieces. Never be afraid to express yourself through fashion. It’s truly what makes us, us!
